Awarded degree – Bachelor of Laws in the International Law educational program

The main goal of the educational program “International Law” at MNU Law School is to form a new model of a specialist who has the competencies to work effectively both in the field of international law and within the framework of the national legal system. This approach to determining the content and building the trajectory of the educational program is conditioned by the processes of globalization, active participation of Kazakhstan in international processes, including integration, as well as cross-border movement of goods, services, capital and labor, which requires legal support and knowledge of both international and national law.

availability of minor programs embedded in the core curriculum*: minor in English Law, minor in German Law (Deutsches Recht), minor in Business and Law, minor in IT Law

continuous trajectory of English language learning: General English, Academic English, International Legal English I and International Legal English II, Business English

all disciplines of the international legal block are provided in English**, which ensures content enhancement of language preparation for admission abroad and for double-diploma LLM programs.

Programme structure

Professional development program
The Professional Development Program of the MNU Law School – Advanced Professional Development Program (APDP) was created with the aim of providing high-quality training courses aimed at improving the skills of practitioners. The program offers a wide range of intensive independent courses (seminars, trainings), as well as a series of courses that are complemented according to the needs of clients:

I. English Law:

  1. Introduction to English Law;
  2. English Civil Law;
  3. English Corporate Law.

II. A practical course in tax law:

  1. CIT. VAT. Salary taxes. Case law;
  2. Local Taxes. Subsoil users’ taxes. Tax Administration;
  3. Tax optimization.

III. Civil law for accountants;

IV. The practice of contractual relations;

V. Claims and lawsuit proceedings;

VI. Medical Law (a course for legal practitioners);

VII. Forensic analysis: an intensive course;

VIII. Employment and Labor Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.

The duration of the program (number of days/hours) depends on the objectives and content of the course.
The basic language of instruction is Russian. Pre-application is required to choose the language of instruction: English and/or Kazakh.
Upon completion of the program, a certificate is issued.
The cost of participation in each module is 30,000 tenge.
The group is between 12 and 20 people.

Classes are held on the basis of Maqsut Narikbayev University (Astana). Handouts and coffee breaks are provided.
