Aizhan Shaynazarova Takes on Deputy Chair Role at Maqsut Narikbayev University

Aizhan Shaynazarova has been appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Maqsut Narikbayev University. In this role, she will oversee the implementation of the University’s Development Strategy and lead its Human Resources direction.

Aizhan Shaynazarova began her professional career in 1993 as a senior laboratory assistant at the Almaty branch of the Zhambyl Institute of Light and Food Industry. From 1994 to 2001, she taught at the Kazakh State Academy of Management and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Between 2001 and 2025, she held senior and high-responsibility positions in the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Akimat of Astana. Prior to joining MNU, she served as Head of the Internal Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Ms Shaynazarova is a graduate of St. Petersburg State University (1993) and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2019). She also completed an internship at Duke University (USA). Her state honours include the Medal “For Valiant Labour” and the “Kurmet” Order.
