Emeritus Professor of Maqsut Narikbayev University, Lepuda Mukatayeva, delivered a guest lecture at the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She spoke about the history and significance of the Nauryz holiday.
The lecture was held as part of the nationwide Nauryznama decade. The event focused on an in-depth exploration of the origins of Nauryz, as well as the preservation of the unique customs and traditions of the Kazakh people. Lepuda Mukatayeva highlighted the philosophical meaning of spring renewal and outlined the historical stages in the formation of festive rituals.
The professor also emphasized the role of national heritage in modern public service. During the lecture, a blitz quiz was organized, allowing young ministry employees to demonstrate their knowledge in ethnography and the history of Kazakhstan. In addition, Lepuda Mukatayeva gave an interview to the online publication Elorda.info, where she discussed the specifics of celebrating the Day of Culture and national traditions.
It should be noted that the nationwide Nauryznama decade is held in Kazakhstan from March 14 to 23.
