
Christopher Campbell-Holt, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Maqsut Narikbayev University, has been awarded the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). This prestigious honour was conferred on the occasion of the birthday of His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom, celebrated on 14 June 2025.
This year, 110 individuals were recognised for their outstanding services to the United Kingdom abroad or on the international stage. Honourees were acknowledged for their contributions to British foreign policy and international development, as well as for their voluntary and charitable work. The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland highlighted Christopher Campbell-Holt’s leadership and strategic vision in the establishment of the AIFC Court, which has become a model for international dispute resolution across Eurasia.
Christopher Campbell-Holt serves as the Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court. He is a distinguished expert in international law and finance, with over 20 years of professional experience in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Middle East, and Central Asia. On 31 January of this year, he was appointed Chairman of the MNU Board of Trustees.
