Maqsut Narikbayev University has resumed the Euronews Academy training programme. Journalists from national and regional media outlets completed the module Television Journalism and Live Broadcasting.
Within the framework of the module, participants explored the fundamentals of television formats and script structure, end-to-end production and editorial processes, on-screen performance, and interview techniques. The sessions were conducted by Bojan Brkic, Head of the Euronews Bureau in Astana, and Sergio Cantone, Senior Correspondent for EU Affairs. The programme also covered topics such as event coverage in a global context and television production.
The Euronews Academy courses aim to enhance professional skills in journalism and media. Participants gain exclusive access to the channel’s educational programmes and internships, as well as practical knowledge from leading international experts. The project is implemented under a memorandum of cooperation between Euronews, the Corporate Foundation Media Damytu Qory, and Astana-based universities, with Maqsut Narikbayev University serving as the main training venue. Previously, the courses were attended by MNU students, journalists, and media managers.
It is worth noting that the Euronews Academy also plans to conduct a course on digital journalism in mid-November.
