On May 2, 2024, Maqsut Narikbayev University, in collaboration with the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan, hosted the EU Mini Model Game 2024.
This event offered students a hands-on experience in understanding the workings of the EU’s institutions, focusing on the adoption of sanctions to address global challenges while upholding EU values. The game simulated the EU Council’s decision-making process with students role-playing various EU bodies, deliberating on sanction measures and their economic impacts.
The EU Delegation, was represented by H.E. Mr. Kestutis Jankauskas, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan, accompanied by Mr. Maciej Adam Madalinski, Head of the Political Section, and Ms. Aidana Sariyeva, Press Officer.
The event concluded with a ceremony where Mr. Talgat Narikbayev awarded Ambassador Jankauskas with the Order of Friendship for continued support and strong partnership established between MNU and the EU Delegation in Kazakhstan.
