The Euronews Academy training sessions continue at Maqsut Narikbayev University. This week, participants completed the modules “Light and Sound in the Studio” and “Content Creation in the Era of Social Media.”
Around forty multimedia content specialists from five cities across Kazakhstan took part in hands-on exercises and analysed real-life cases together with international experts. The modules were led by Valery Odikadze, a television production specialist who has worked with BBC, Euronews, CNN, and Al Jazeera; Kakhaber Chalelishvili, sound engineer at the Euronews Bureau in Georgia; and Denis Loktie, Euronews presenter and producer. The programme is designed to enhance the technical and creative competencies of Kazakhstani media professionals and to promote international production standards within the national media industry.
The Euronews Academy courses aim to advance professional expertise in journalism and media, providing participants with exclusive access to the broadcaster’s educational programmes and internships, as well as practical training from leading international experts. The project is implemented under a memorandum of cooperation between Euronews, the Corporate Fund Media Damytu Qory, and the universities of Astana, with Maqsut Narikbayev University serving as the main training venue. Earlier, MNU students, journalists, and national media managers completed the programme.
It should be noted that next week MNU will host the “Digital Journalism” course.
