Maqsut Narikbayev University was visited by the Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Kuwait in Kazakhstan, Meshari Al-Saigh. The diplomat familiarised himself with the University’s infrastructure and discussed prospects for academic cooperation with the University’s leadership.
The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint scientific and educational initiatives. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the media sphere, which, according to Meshari Al-Saigh, is of mutual interest and has significant potential for development. The Kuwaiti diplomat also stated that the possibility is being considered of allocating educational grants for students, supporting the University library through the provision of literature, and sending Arabic-speaking lecturers to the University.
It should be noted that Kuwait is an important partner of Kazakhstan in the Arab world. In 2017, the first country-named classroom dedicated to the State of Kuwait was opened at MNU.
