Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted a meeting between the university’s leadership and a delegation from the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language to discuss potential areas of cooperation.
During the meeting, Secretary-General of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, Abdullah Al-Washmi, proposed launching free Arabic language courses at the university. Chair of the Executive Board of MNU, Talgat Narikbayev, welcomed the initiative and expressed confidence in building mutually beneficial and productive cooperation. The delegation members also familiarised themselves with the work of the University’s Centre for Islamic and Kazakh Law.
The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language was established in September 2020 in the capital of Saudi Arabia. The organisation is dedicated to promoting the Arabic language worldwide, enhancing its role in the advancement of human civilisation, science, and culture, and strengthening its global influence. Today, the Academy operates in more than 60 countries.
It is worth noting that Arabic is spoken by over 400 million people worldwide and is among the official languages of the United Nations.
