Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted a lecture by Yannick Kuehl, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Region at National Geographic Society. He spoke about the opportunities available for young researchers to obtain National Geographic grants.
During his presentation, Yannick Kuehl outlined the history and mission of the international organisation. National Geographic Society is dedicated to preserving ecosystems and supporting research initiatives in the fields of nature, culture, and sustainable development. In recent years, the organisation has implemented more than 15,000 projects across 83 countries, producing scientific articles in multiple languages and unique photographic materials.
Yannick Kuehl emphasised that projects submitted for grant consideration must be relevant and make a meaningful contribution to the chosen field of study. He also answered students’ questions during the session.
