Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University achieved outstanding success at the Asia Zangeri 2025 regional Moot Court competition, outperforming 62 teams from 11 universities across the republic. The final round of the competition took place at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The MNU Law School team secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the Kazakh-language legal proceedings category, and also took 2nd place in the Russian-language category. In addition, both groups received the “Best Speaker” award. Notably, MNU students also claimed first place in this competition last year.
Asia Zangeri 2025 was held from January 10 to May 16 and brought together more than 80 students from 7 cities across Kazakhstan. This year’s competition focused on the application of tax legislation. Participants were tasked with solving a case structured as a tax audit report concerning a specific company, with questions covering various types of taxes. The event was organised by the consulting firm Fortune Partners.
It is worth noting that the total prize fund amounted to 5 million tenge, of which 3.4 million tenge was awarded to MNU students.
