In Almaty, students of Maqsut Narikbayev University claimed victory at the Spectrum Case Championship, outperforming teams from 47 universities across Kazakhstan.
The case championship was organised by leading international companies Mars and Mastercard, with the support of AIESEC. The project aims to help young people develop strategic thinking, teamwork, and creativity in solving business challenges. Participants were tasked with designing an optimal route and strategy for transporting goods from Germany to Kazakhstan.
The MNU team, representing the International School of Economics, included Sanzhar Satybaldiyev, Muzafar Karatay, Shynar Zhassekenova, Olzhas Kimelbayev, and Aset Turdybekov. They proposed using the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route with a “Truck–Ship–Train” sequence, which reduces costs, optimises delivery times, lowers CO₂ emissions, and ensures independence from external suppliers. In addition, the students developed compliance measures with international transit regulations, proposed cargo safety solutions, and designed a comprehensive risk mitigation strategy, including seasonal planning and port diversification.
Earlier, MNU students became prize-winners of the 5th International Olympiad on Financial Security, runners-up at the AIFC Court Moot 2025 international moot court competition, and champions of the national intellectual contest Zangar Zanger.
