Visually-impaired version 
The Maqsut Narikbayev University team has once again proven their prowess in legal academia by winning the AIFC Moot Court Competition for the fourth consecutive year. This event, organised annually by the Court of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), showcases the skills of aspiring legal professionals through mock trials based on English law.
12 teams from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan competed for the title in this year’s tournament. The event is conducted in the form of mock cases, and evaluated by renowned judges, such as Lords from the United Kingdom and top attorneys from Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The MNU team, composed of Bakytnur Aitmukhambetova, Darina Koishibayeva, Anel Khairullina, Ainur Salmurza, and Dias Kuanyshev, displayed exceptional preparation and professionalism throughout the competition. They earned their win as a result of their dedication and hard work.
The team’s achievement is further highlighted by Darina Koishibayeva, who received special honours for being the competition’s best speaker. The team’s success is a result of the knowledgeable tutoring that MNU Assistant Professor Alberto Pecoraro gave them, whose direction was vital to their accomplishment.
