The International School of Economics (ISE) at Maqsut Narikbayev University proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary. Two decades ago, the University laid the foundation for the Faculty of Economics and Business, now known as ISE.
Over the years, the school has trained thousands of highly qualified, internationally competitive professionals for the business sector, public service, and broader society. Today, ISE offers 11 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programmes in Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Accounting, IT, Political Science, and International Relations — all delivered in English.
ISE’s programmes hold prestigious international accreditations, including FIBAA, CIMA, CFA Institute, ACCA, GARP, ICAEW, aPHRi, CIM, and IQAA. These accreditations confirm the exceptional quality of its educational offerings and their alignment with global standards. According to the 2025 ranking by the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, ISE leads in training top professionals in Economics and Management, with its Finance and Accounting programmes ranked among the top three in the country.
The faculty comprises graduates of top international universities, Bolashak International Scholarship holders, certified professionals, and experienced practitioners from major domestic and international companies. ISE actively develops dual-degree programmes with leading institutions in Germany, France, and South Korea, alongside a robust academic mobility programme. Students can also pursue 16 additional specialisations.
ISE boasts strong graduate employment rates, supported by its Career Centre, two research centres, and a Business Council that includes prestigious employers. Students of the School consistently achieve top rankings in case championships and international competitions.
This year alone, over 250 young professionals graduated from ISE. In a recent interview, the Dean of the International School of Economics, Saule Kemelbayeva, shared more insights into the School’s accomplishments and future plans.
