Maqsut Narikbayev University continues its series of lectures within the special course Applied Diplomacy. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, Luis Francisco Martínez Montes, addressed students during his visit.
The Ambassador spoke about the history of diplomacy and the development of cooperation between Astana and Madrid. He expressed confidence that many students in attendance would become outstanding professionals in international relations. The diplomat also answered students’ questions.
“Engaging in dialogue with such diligent and proactive students is always a great pleasure. I am confident that among them are future diplomats, scholars, journalists, and entrepreneurs who will proudly represent Kazakhstan abroad. I am delighted to take part in such a wonderful initiative that connects the diplomatic and academic communities,” said Luis Francisco Martínez Montes.
Spain remains one of Kazakhstan’s key partners in Europe. Dozens of Spanish companies are represented in the Kazakh market, and last year, trade turnover between the two countries exceeded 2 billion US dollars.
