This year, around 700 students received their bachelor’s degrees from Maqsut Narikbayev University. Representatives of the 30th anniversary graduating class expressed gratitude to the university for the knowledge they gained and shared their memories.
Among the proud holders of an MNU diploma is Assel Zholdasbek, a graduate of the School of Liberal Arts. During her student years, she became a prizewinner of the National Tourism Olympiad and studied in Latvia through an academic mobility program.
“When I was choosing a university, I saw a phrase saying that MNU graduates receive several job offers even before graduation. I thought it was just a marketing slogan. But now I’m standing here with my diploma and I can say it’s true. My classmates are already working at top companies. At this point, I’m facing a pleasant but difficult decision: to accept a job offer from a Kazakhstani company, take an internship in Dubai, or pursue a master’s degree in the UK. Making a choice isn’t easy, but what matters is that I now have this choice — thanks to sleepless nights, hard work, and Maqsut Narikbayev University,” said Assel Zholdasbek.
Meanwhile, Almir Akhmetov, a graduate of the International School of Journalism, emphasized the communication, leadership, and conflict management skills he acquired during his studies. He also noted that he is already working at one of the international companies.
“We learned not only how to write and analyze, but how to be friends, support each other, and speak the truth even when it’s uncomfortable. I want to thank our professors, parents, and friends for their patience, support, and belief in us. This diploma belongs to all of us. We are entering a new chapter — one filled with new challenges, new horizons, and the opportunity to use everything MNU gave us,” said Almir Akhmetov.
Madina Salinzhuarova, a graduate of the School of Liberal Arts, spoke about MNU with special warmth. She said the university gave her not just a diploma, but inner strength — the ability to choose and follow her own path.
“We didn’t just gain knowledge — we grew. We developed as individuals, we learned to make mistakes and rise again. We are not required to have all the answers. But we are responsible for feeling, believing, and moving forward. And with that confidence, we step into a new chapter,” said Madina Salinzhuarova.
Ayan Shakharkali, a graduate of the International School of Economics, also spoke about the importance of perseverance and moving forward. According to him, the university became a place where everyone fights for themselves, their dreams, and their future.
“Some of us achieved success, others made mistakes. But we all made it to graduation and didn’t give up. I dream that every child in Kazakhstan will have the opportunity to grow like we did. I believe that education is not just words on a banner — it’s a chance to change the country,” said Ayan Shakharkali.
Meanwhile, Assemgul Khamidullova, an honors graduate of the School of Humanities, noted that during her student years she tried many things — from debates to scientific research. She highlighted that student meetings with global leaders at MNU and university events featuring popular Kazakhstani artists are among her brightest memories.
“We acted like adults — solving problems, passing the toughest exams, writing projects. But we did it. And now, we fear nothing. Thank you, Maqsut Narikbayev University, for the opportunities. To our professors — thank you for the knowledge and patience. To our parents — thank you for the moral and financial support. And to myself — thank you for the courage,” said Assemgul Khamidullova.
It is worth noting that the 30th graduation ceremony of Maqsut Narikbayev University was held on July 9 in the newly opened Themis Square. Earlier, graduates also shared their personal stories and vivid memories from their years of study.
