Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University have created a mini-series titled Pervash (Freshman), offering a fresh perspective on life at the university. The premiere is scheduled for tomorrow.
The storyline follows a student named Arman, who embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Arman is used to a carefree lifestyle, where everything comes easily. However, his world turns upside down when his older brother steps in. Suddenly, Arman is thrust into the heart of true student life — where every decision comes with consequences. He must navigate everything from love and strict instructors to unexpected challenges, transforming from a light-hearted teenager into someone ready to take responsibility. It’s a story where exams become battles, and growing up turns into a true adventure.
According to MNU’s marketing department, students made up the majority of the film crew. The comedy-style mini-series was shot in just one month. The first episode will be released on the university’s official Instagram page on July 15, 2025, with subsequent episodes to be published on the MNU YouTube channel.
Previously, MNU students created the insta-series Stranger Things at MNU, as well as parodies of popular music videos such as Chyna, Aidahar, Za dengi da, and films including John Wick and La La Land. These creative projects have resonated widely with applicants and students, garnering over 11.3 million views across various platforms.
