Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) is taking its postgraduate education to the next level. Starting from the new academic year, the International School of Economics will launch a master’s program in Political Science and International Relations.
The Master’s program in Political Science and International Relations is a two-year program designed to develop analytical and critical thinking, as well as research skills that are in demand both locally and internationally. The language of instruction is English. The faculty consists of degree holders who are graduates of leading international universities, including recipients of the prestigious Bolashak international scholarship, with extensive experience in both academia and industry at the national and international levels.
The new academic program includes courses in critical geopolitics, the foreign policy of great powers, the geopolitics of cyberspace, and geoeconomics. It also offers courses aimed at developing research competencies, such as qualitative and quantitative research methods, thesis writing, and research practice. In addition, the curriculum features pedagogical development, including teaching practice and a course on higher education pedagogy.
