
Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) became the winners of the National Olympiad on Financial Security. They ranked among the top ten winners of this prestigious intellectual competition.
More than three thousand students registered for the Olympiad, with only 40 making it to the final round. The participants had to complete a test and solve case-based tasks. The final stage of the competition was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University.
As a result of the tournament, ten winners from nine universities across Kazakhstan were announced. In the “Law” category, the top honors went to Kuanishbek Amanbayev from MNU and Alisher Kim from Karaganda Buketov University. In the “International Relations” category, the winners were Maksat Tilektes from MNU and Jasmina Zakariya from Yessenov University. All prize-winners will go on to represent Kazakhstan at the International Financial Security Olympiad, which will be held in Russia in the fall of 2025.
The Olympiad was held by the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the national “Law and Order” initiative. The tournament was made possible with the support of Maqsut Narikbayev University, the AML Academy of Financial Monitoring, the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, and representatives of the International Network Institute for Financial Security. As the organizers emphasized, the event was more than just a competition – it became a significant educational initiative aimed at fostering a strong legal culture, preventing financial offenses, and contributing to the development of a resilient economy for the future.
