Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University, together with environmental activists, participated in the improvement of the capital’s Samal Park. On the eve of the event, as part of the nationwide environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan,” a tree-planting initiative was held in the newly established park.
The event took place with the participation of the Head of State. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the “Taza Kazakhstan” movement was launched two years ago. He expressed sincere gratitude to all participants of the large-scale campaign, especially to young people. The President also emphasized that special attention should be given to the education system in fostering environmental culture, as awareness of the importance of cleanliness begins with upbringing.
It is worth noting that last week, MNU students held a community clean-up along the embankment of the Ishim River. In addition, in 2025, as part of the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign, the Themis Square was established on the university campus.
