
Anar Ibrayeva has been appointed Provost of Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU). In her new role, she will be responsible for the university’s academic processes.
Anar Ibrayeva has been part of the MNU team since 2004, serving as Senior Laboratory Assistant, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Teaching Professor. In 2019, she was appointed Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, where she made a significant contribution to the school’s development, the advancement of the university’s linguistic education programmes, and the strengthening of academic partnerships.
Anar Ibrayeva is a graduate of Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University (2003), Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages (2008), and the University of Leicester (2018). She holds a Candidate of Philological Sciences degree, an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (UK), and in 2015 was awarded the national title Best University Lecturer by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that, as part of the university’s management transformation, a new strategic direction was recently introduced, bringing together science, innovation, and artificial intelligence. To oversee this area, MNU created the new position of Vice-Chairman of the Board for Science, Innovation, and AI, to which Sergey Pen was appointed.
