Aim of the programme:
Training of a high qualified expert linguist capable of applying in-depth knowledge of the English language system and corpus linguistics to conduct reliable analyses of spoken and written language and research in the field of applied linguistics, with skills in developing educational materials using modern methods and approaches in English language teaching.
Upon completion of the programme graduates will be able to:
- apply in-depth knowledge of the English language system and language corpus to linguistic analyses;
- conduct research in applied linguistics using databases and language corpora;
- apply modern approaches and methods in teaching foreign languages;
- use a comprehensive understanding of language to create a student-centred learning environment;
- possess analytical skills, and complex problem solving skills;
- express their thoughts, ideas and beliefs in an audience-, context-, purpose- and style-specific manner;
- apply interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of subject-language integrated learning;
