Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted Athmane Mehadji, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Kazakhstan, who delivered a lecture as part of the Applied Diplomacy course.
Ambassador Mehadji spoke about the prospects for Kazakh-Algerian multilateral cooperation. He also answered students’ questions and shared valuable guidance for future diplomats. The Ambassador emphasised the importance of such lectures in strengthening relations between states.
“The role of diplomats lies in identifying common ground and, on this basis, defining opportunities for cooperation. When it comes to relations between countries, particularly between universities and research centres, the contribution of other stakeholders is also essential. I wish future diplomats success in their studies, curiosity, and all the very best,” stated Athmane Mehadji.
It is worth noting that next March will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Algeria.
