Minister of Justice Visits MNU

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Sarsembayev, paid a visit to Maqsut Narikbayev University. During the visit, he delivered a lecture and participated in the opening ceremony of the Legal Clinic.

The Legal Clinic is a joint social and legal initiative of the university and the ministry. It will allow MNU students to provide free legal consultations to citizens of Kazakhstan, including within the framework of the Qaryzsyz Qogam project of the Amanat party. The initiative is aimed at developing qualified legal professionals and expanding public access to basic legal assistance.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the university’s management and faculty for the initiative, as well as for their significant contribution to the development of legal education in the country and the establishment of modern professional standards in the legal field. He highlighted the effective cooperation between the ministry and MNU and noted that the Legal Clinic will help strengthen public trust in law and order.

“Today, within the walls of the country’s leading law university, we are opening a Legal Clinic, and this event is of particular importance. A socially significant project is being launched that directly responds to the needs of our society and the state. Here, students will first encounter law not as a theory or a written norm, but as a real tool for protecting human rights and interests. This marks the beginning of a professional journey in which knowledge is tested through practice, and decisions are judged by their consequences,” Erlan Sarsembayev said.

As part of the visit, the Minister delivered a lecture titled “The Constitution, Digitalization, and the Future of Law: Coordinating Legal Order in a New Reality.” He also met with students and reviewed the university’s infrastructure. In addition, the Minister was introduced to the innovative AI Legal Graph project, which involves the development of an artificial intelligence model designed to automate document drafting and enhance the efficiency of legal processes.

It was also noted that Erlan Sarsembayev expressed the ministry’s readiness to support the university’s initiatives.
