The International School of Journalism Maqsut Narikbayev University announces the appointment of Aigul Zhamalova as the new Dean.
Maqsut Narikbayev University, the leader among the country’s universities offering an international level of education, is pleased to announce the joining of Aigul Zhamalova, Master of International Journalism, to the University’s team.
Aigul Zhamalova is an experienced journalist and media manager with more than 15 years of experience in the media field. She has in-depth knowledge in the field of international journalism, gained during her studies at the University of Leeds (UK) on the prestigious Bolashak scholarship. Since 2021, Aigul Zhamalova has been a lecturer at Maqsut Narikbayev University.
Prior to joining the Maqsut Narikbayev University team, Aigul Zhamalova held senior positions in leading media companies in Kazakhstan, such as Channel Seven and Atameken Business. She has extensive experience in the development and implementation of digital strategies, Internet marketing, personal and corporate brand promotion on the Internet, as well as conducting exclusive interviews and writing texts in three languages.
During her career, Aigul Zhamalova held the position of Director of Corporate Communications at the Astana International Financial Center, where she was engaged in implementing the updated digital strategy of the brand and building internal communications.
Maqsut Narikbayev University is confident that Miss Aigul’s extensive experience, deep knowledge and leadership qualities will become an invaluable asset for the university, and the International School of Journalism under her leadership will reach new heights and become the leading training center for highly qualified journalists in Kazakhstan.
Note: In September 2023, the grand opening of the first International Journalism School in Kazakhstan was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University with the support of the President’s Television and Radio Complex.
