WELCOME DAY

The School of Liberal Arts held its traditional Welcome Day for first-year students. The team introduced students to academic regulations, campus infrastructure, and digital learning services. The session presented degree programs, advisors, and student initiatives, and provided instructions on course registration and navigating the academic catalog. Representatives of the Student Affairs Department and student organizations led mini-tours of the building and key locations across the university. The event supports SDG 4 by improving access to and the quality of education through early onboarding and timely information. Results: student questions were collected, and students received access to their profiles and the university’s learning platforms. Next steps include a series of introductory sessions on academic integrity, library resources, and academic writing, as well as the publication of a start-of-semester FAQ.
