Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University showcased their ideas for addressing environmental issues and promoting sustainability. The university hosted the EcoMind case championship, which also saw participation from students of Nazarbayev University. The Eco Hackathon was organised in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The event brought together students, experts, and partners in a collaborative effort to develop practical solutions for environmental transformation. Eleven teams presented a range of projects, including proposals for closed-loop recycling systems and initiatives to foster a culture of conscious resource consumption within the university setting. The winning teams received cash certificates from the Eco Hackathon’s partners.
It is worth noting that, as part of EcoMind, a series of lectures was delivered by renowned experts in the fields of ecology and sustainable development for the benefit of the participants.
