Maqsut Narikbayev University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya (UIN Surabaya). The agreement is aimed at developing academic exchange, as well as joint educational and research projects.
The agreements were reached during a visit to MNU by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Kazakhstan, Mohamad Fadjrul Rahman, and representatives of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UIN Surabaya. The Indonesian partners familiarized themselves with the university’s activities, its academic programs, and research potential. MNU Provost Anar Ibrayeva noted that students from Indonesia are currently studying at the university.
“We consider Indonesia as one of the priority areas for international cooperation. International applicants can participate in a special educational grant competition. In this regard, we invite talented students from Indonesia to take advantage of this opportunity,” Anar Ibrayeva emphasized.
It is worth noting that Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya is among the top five universities in Indonesia. The university offers 77 academic programs and enrolls more than 20,000 students. This year, the institution celebrates its 65th anniversary.
