The International School of Journalism is a new, dynamically developing part of our university, opened in 2023 in partnership with the “TV and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, country’s leading media holding. Thanks to this cooperation, our students get a unique opportunity to learn from experienced practicing journalists, and to undertake an internship at the leading TV channels and radio stations of the country. Currently, the School has two educational programs: “Journalism: Analytics and Investigations” and “International Journalism”.

Students studying at the International School of Journalism have a priority access to the Media Hub and Media Lab, which have recently been renovated and equipped with a variety of LCD displays, brand new computers and ergonomic workstations. The space is equipped with a variety of new information technologies: multimedia equipment and software, data visualization applications, audio-visual editing and production systems, as well as content management and web-publishing tools. The updated MNU Library offers a wide range of editing programs, video equipment and a fully equipped technical support service.

The purpose of the programme is to train a new generation of highly qualified journalists, able to work both in traditional genres and in new formats.
View detailsAcademic mobility refers to students studying for an academic period at a foreign partner university. Participation in the program is a chance to get the experience of studying at a foreign university and the experience of living abroad at the same time.
The Office of the Advisors of the International School of Journalism conducts organizational, methodological and consulting work throughout the entire period of study of students, represents the academic interests of students within the framework of the academic policy of the International School of Journalism and assists in setting and adjustment of an individual curriculum.
